Made using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Firefly, this collection of posters showcases my art style and journey as a digital designer.
Drawing from design principles such as scale, hierarchy, and colour, each element on the page was incredibly intentional. Inspired by early 2000s magazine aesthetics, I carefully selected colours and fonts to reflect that era.
I began by importing images from my birthday photoshoot into Photoshop, removing the background, and applying a black-and-white halftone effect. Then, I warped my name around my image and exported everything to Illustrator.
In Illustrator, I experimented with different fonts to find the perfect combination and alignment, integrated a QR code linking to my portfolio, and finalized the design.
Good design is...

Good design is subjective, but these words define the principles that guide my work. I strive to create designs that spark emotion and build connections while staying true to my unique style. I understand that not everyone will see my work the way I do, but I choose to embrace my authenticity and lean into the things that make me, me.
For this piece, I applied a halftone effect to my image, duplicating and enlarging it in layers while adjusting the colors to create depth. I then used the BD Geminis font to apply a warped text effect for consistency before exporting everything to Illustrator.
In Illustrator, I refined the layout, incorporated the Chorine font for the title, and added elements from Adobe Firefly to enhance visual interest.
My Gifts and My Goals

I truly believe I have a gift for design, with a keen eye for aesthetics and a talent for storytelling that makes my project unique. However, I also recognize that growth is a continuous process, and my ultimate goal is to become a more versatile and confident designer.
This design follows a similar approach to the previous page, incorporating the halftone effect, layered elements, and warped text. However, I further adjusted the hue and saturation to preserve the red tones in the image.
Once exported to Illustrator, I focused on refining the layout, rearranging elements, and incorporating objects rendered from Adobe Firefly to enhance the composition.
This page highlights my favorite designers and artists—women who inspire me and reflect different aspects of my identity. Growing up in a household full of women, I’ve always drawn inspiration from them, and these four creatives resonate with me in unique ways.
They all have Nigerian backgrounds but are still widely unique in their own expressions. They are confident, unapologetically themselves and determined with their goals. I always look forward to a new Lady Donli song or Korty's latest YouTube video. Nneka's looks and designs are effortlessly clean, while Akwaeke's writing stays with me long after I'm done.
I created this page entirely in Illustrator, incorporating elements like the pushpin and Polaroid frame from Adobe Firefly. To enhance realism, I added shadows to both, while the images were sourced from the web.
